Each fish is one of a kind, hand carved and painted. Each is carved out of spruce or basswood and is hand painted with acrylic paints. It is coated with a varish or polyurethane and is mounted on a stained or painted wooden backboard. The backboards are beautifully decorated with a painted nautical theme.
The artist, Knut Schmit, resides in Great Barrington, MA. and is no longer carving, so these fish are the unique and can never be found again.
